Our History
The Women's Reentry Network (WRN) is a non-profit organization that was established in 2023 by three women who had previously been incarcerated. After working together for many years and providing support to other women who had faced similar challenges, they decided to create an organization that could have an even greater impact. The board is composed of amazing women who are committed to improving the reentry experience for women, most of whom have experienced incarceration themselves. While men are welcome to join the network, it has been observed that women who have been through the same challenges have a strong desire to help others in similar situations. There is a sense of camaraderie and understanding that comes from shared experiences of trauma, hardship, and obstacles that intrinsically unites us.

Mission
Our mission is to create a nurturing environment for women and children affected by the criminal justice system, with the goal of ending the vicious cycle of imprisonment and poverty that disproportionately affects women.To provide a supportive community to women and children who have been impacted by the criminal legal system and help break cycles of incarceration and poverty caused by the mass incarceration of women

Imagine a world where individuals are not confined to cages, and a society where we embrace and accept one another. A community where people can rely on each other for support.
Goals
At WRN, our ultimate aim is to establish a support network for women and families who have been affected by mass incarceration. We want women to feel cherished and appreciated despite their circumstances. We believe that by achieving this, we can contribute positively to reentry outcomes, such as reducing the likelihood of returning to prison. Our objectives are to meet women at their current stage of reentry and offer a supportive community to help women move beyond their past, navigate the present, and obtain a brighter future.
